Malala Polikeka in Kakinada on Dec 3 Kakinada, Dec 1 (INN): Opposing the categorization of Scheduled castes in the state, Mala Mahanadu will organize 'Malala Polikeka' meeting at Anand Bharathi Grounds in Kakinada in East Godavari district on December 3. Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Mala Mahanadu state president R S Ratnakar said the convention was aimed at bringing those who oppose categorization of Mala community. He added that injustice was being done to the community in all fields.
Mr Ratnakar revealed that the convention would condemn the policy being adopted by the political parties and to take the voice of Mala community people to the government against the great injustice being meted out to them. He said that over five lakh Mala community people from nook and corner of state would attend the meeting to voice their protest and to safeguard their interests and self respect. The Mala Mahanadu chief said that all local MLAs and MPs have extended their solidarity to the convention. The 'Malala Polikeka' assumes importance in the wake of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi president Manda Krishna Madiga proposed indefinite hunger fast at Secretariat from December 4 demanding classification of SCs.
