| Guntur is said to be one of the fast improving cities in A.P. Therefore many a number of educated girls, ladies, women arrive almost everyday from the surrounding villages for work etc. Most of these people are beautiful. Their beauty tempts the men in the city. Naturally these tempted men search for someone with whom they can enjoy sex. Many small lodges in and around nthe city railway station and bus complex got women offering sex for men. Most of these ladies are those affected with positive HIV and Aids. Mostly those women (living in the tiled houses at the rail crossing under the new bridge) are carrying AIDS. Again Gunturivaari thota 3rd line is full of houses with HIV positive ladies. They stand at the entrance of the house and solicit the passing by men and boys for sex. These houses are busy throughout the day right from 6 a.m.to night 11.00 p.m. Many men who visit Guntur for various purposes visit these prostitute-dens also since the sex here is said to be as cheap as less than one hundred
rupees.This is how the city of Guntur has the highest number of HIV positive cases. Also Narasaraopeta and Chilakaluripeta are said to be two towns in Guntur districts where the sex is said to cheap. Some few thousands of sex workers are thriving on their sex trade in these two towns.
