Sugar will not be supplied through Ration Hyderabad, May 4 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said that the State Government would not supply sugar through the Fair Price Shops due to withdrawal of subsidy blamed the Central Government for the increase in prices of sugar.
'The Centre has withdrawn subsidy given on sugar distributed through the Ration Shops. The Centre has made it clear that subsidy will not be given on sugar supplied through the Fair Price Shops. With this the sugar price in the ration shops will be equally to the price in the open market. In this background, sugar will not be supplied to the ration shops. The State Government has no option but to implement the Centre's decision,' the Chief Minister said in a press release on Thursday.
