ACB raids Land Ceiling officer, Rs 3 cr DA found Visakhapatnam, April 20 (INN): Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Wednesday conducted raids on the residence of Urban Land Ceiling Special Officer and unearthed property worth 3 crore from his possession.
According to ACB Inspector Prabhakar, the accused officer has been identified as D Venkatesh, a resident of Sitammadhara in Visakhapatnam district. Mr Prabhakar further revealed that simultaneous raids were conducted on the residences of the officer's relatives at Hyderabad, Khammam and Visakhapatnam.
Raids has resulted in unearthing immovable assets including seven flats in Hyderabad, ten house plots, fifty acres of land in Nalgonda district, gold ornaments weighing about two kilo grams and other silver articles, car and a motor cycle, which all together totaling of Rs 3 crore worth.
'The market value of the seized assets will be more than the estimated value', he added. The accused officer was taken into custody after registering a case against him.
