Three pseudo-Naxals arrested Karimnagar, Oct 12 (INN): Sarangapur Police on Tuesday apprehended three pseudo Naxalites, who were extorting money from innocent people by posing themselves as Naxalites.
According to Sub-Inspector Koteshwar, the accused were identified as Suniki Nagaraju (27), Dasari Rajaiah (40) and Dosalapu Narayana (50). They all are residents of Sarangapur.
Mr Koteshwar revealed that prime accused Nagaraju got the idea of extorting money easily from people by posing themselves as Naxalites and threatening them. He took the help of his close friends and the trio purchased a country-made weapon from their source from Bihar.
According to the plan, Nagaraju printed posters in which a threatening message was written and started collecting money from general public to meet their regular expense.
The people complained to the police who managed to nab the three 'Naxalites'. Posters and Rs 2,000 were also recovered from their possession. A case has been registered according to Arms Act for extorting money from innocent people. Further investigations are going.
