Sidda announced sops to Journalists Kanigiri, March 1. Honarable minster for Transport and R&D Sidda Raghava Rao promised journalists to provide health cards, house sites and other benifits in the Prakasam district conference of the APUWJ (Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists) at Kanigiri on Sunday.
He urged the media to play a positive role in building the new state and capital. He assured that he would try to solve the problems of journalists.
The Transport minister said the government has introduced Neeru - Chettu programme and other development projects and requested the journalists to give publicity to the welfare schemes in the newspapers.
APUWJ state general secretary I.V. Subba Rao said all journalists would get health cards as Ugadi gift in this month.
He also announced that an academy would be set up in Ongole to improve the skills of journalists.
