Dr Bhaskara Rao, a native of Amadalavalasa, retired in early 2000 from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, where he served as the Director of Postgraduate Studies in the School of Economics for several years. From June 2003 he will be at the University of the South Pacific, Suva, Fiji, as professor of economics. He visits every year (December-January) India and some Indian universities, especially the Andhra University.

He is the Convener & past President of the Sri Venkateswara Temple Association, Sydney and was the President of the Telugu Association of Sydney during 1999-2000. Currently he is the Chairman of the Sri Venkateswara Educational Building Fund and the Managing Editor of e-Telugu Patrika ( http://www.geocities.com/b.rao ).

He will be happy to answer questions about your education plans in Australia and other Western countries and also about the day-to-day problems of a general nature. However, he cannot help with the immigration & visa problems and job market information.
