Pranab Mukharjee Speech 'Touched' Megastar Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was in Delhi yesterday to receive his national award. The actor says he was 'touched' when President Pranab Mukherjee mentioned him during his speech at the 63rd National Awards ceremony
The president in his speech called Bachchan as 'living legend' while raving about the mix of veterans and newcomers in the list of winners at this year's National Awards.
"Back now 3:54 am from Delhi and National Award! So humbled and touched, for President of India to take my name in his speech!" Amitabh tweeted.
Amitabh along with his family have attended the event. He was accompanied with his wife Jaya, son Abhishek, daughter Shweta Nanda and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the award event.
Amitabh has won national award for Piku movie. This is not the first time that the star has been conferred with a National Award. Amitabh won the prestigious award thrice for films like "Agneepath", "Black" and "Paa".
