Actor Karthi lands in hospital Karthi, who has been shooting for his upcoming flick Komban, was rushed to hospital on Monday evening after he felt 'queasy and pukish'. A little after lunch, the Paruthiveeran star felt that he was not keeping well and left for home. 'He was on his way home but then he felt very sick, so his family asked him to go directly to Isabel Hospital and joined him there,' said a source.
Around 5 pm, the actor was taken to the hospital where Rajinikanth was first admitted when he fell ill in 2011, and admitted in a 'dehydrated state'. It was later said that he had had a bad case of food poisoning and would need some fluid infusion to get better.
After a couple of hours of rest and recuperation in a private ward there, he was discharged and he left for home. Father Sivakumar and brother Suriya are believed to have rushed there to check up on his well-being.
Karthi is currently working on Komban with Lakshmi Menon, for which he had an extended schedule of shooting at an outdoor location in Paramakudi. He is also awaiting the release of 'Madras' that sees him play the role of a youth from Royapuram.
