Eye behind 'Annamayya' passes away Ace cinematographer Aloysius Vincent, popularly known as A Vincent, who is known for his work in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films, passed away on Wednesday, 25 Feb at the age of 86.Vincent was born on June 14th, 1928 and he collaborated with almost all top actor's of Tollywood.
Vincent started his career as a guest cinematographer in 1953 Telugu film "Chandi Rani". NTR's famous 'Adavi Ramudu' was handled by Vincent. Later he worked as Cinematographer for several Blockbuster films like Major Chandrakanth, Prem Nagar, Bhakta Prahlada, Bobbili Simham, Allari Priyudu, Gharana Mogudu, Alludugaru, Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya.
Vincent's last movie is Nagarjuna starrer 'Annamaya'. After Annamaya, the veteran cinematographer chooses to retire. Well known cinematographers Jayanan Vincent and Ajayanan Vincent are sons of Aloysius Vincent. With the news of Vincent's demise, condolences poured in on Twitter by director's K.Raghavendra Rao, Harish Shankar, and many others.
Vincent also directed about 30 films, mostly Malayalam. Some of the films were "Bhargavi Nilayam", "Murrapennu", "Nagarame Nanni" and "Asuravithua".
