Articles: Life in AP | My Experience with a Remove Village | |
| I appreciate your interest
in doing field work.
But our Governments and policy makers
,either at State level or
at Central level, rarely included anthropoligists in policy planning and
implementation in rural and tribal areas.
So unless the policy makers are enlightened and are eager to include anthropologists in the policy making process, all field works wud only gather dust, and yours wud be no exception.
Someone is doing some good work..let others follow suit.
Good luck!
Posted by: Mr. Funky At: 24, May 2003 8:55:24 AM IST So serious a study. Very good indeed. I really liked it. There is everything what one likes to know about a remote village like this. I don't know whether you continue your study of many villages or you did it only as a part of your project work. But since you mentioned your profession as Journalist, you can continue your research and prepare as many case studies as this and can submit them to Government or some Social Service Organizations. It will do much help to the villagers.
I wish you read the profile of Mr. Praveen Kumar Bollaram. He is also working in Village Development sector. You both can discuss. He told to me about a Project he is doing with the collaboration of some Professor in Kakateeya University, I suppose. By the way, Please read my idea on Village development. It is in the discussion section.

Hope your articles will bring public/govt attention! to these underprevilaged people.
I liked the narration. As you have given it a different look. You have not highlighted it in the beaten track of cast system.
And good to know that they are slowly living up with reality and developing.
My sincere good wishes with you sir.
Thanks
