RESPONSE FROM PRAGNA MAHARISHI Suresh garu hit the nail on the head because he understood it correctly. Sigalo Malli garu, No where in my article did I talk any thing about Telugu language. I never said that Telugu community is in crisis due to the language aspect. Hence, the arguments over the language aspect are totally unnecessary and uncalled for. My article is not about Telugu language. It is about Telugu community’s inability to make a strong mark in business, which is also affecting our influence in other areas. There is no hypocrisy in my stand. I am not very good at Telugu and hence can’t speak or write 100% Telugu. Secondly, due to laziness, I resort to English words too. I don’t preach others to use only Telugu when I myself can’t speak 100% Telugu. I don’t want to be a hypocrite. I would be happy if we can concentrate on what can be done to make the situation better with respect to the points I raised. That way, we can save our valuable resources for a productive outcome.

The core issue here is entrepreneurship, not Telugu language. If I am not wrong, the essence of the writer in this article is: when there are more entrepreneurs from Telugu community, there will be more development as well as power for the Telugu community.

REPLY from PRAGNA MAHARISHI In the USA, one highly experienced businessman commented, “if two Gujaratis meet, they discuss how they should come together but if two Telugu persons come together, they hatch a plan how to separate and how to pull the other person down”. I didn’t believe his comments but now I have the proof here. No wonder, why Telugus are not a strong force anywhere despite the vast numbers. It is in our blood to criticize and trivialize the fellow Telugu person just for the heck of it. We love it. Response to KAMALJI garu: Mudra does not belong to AG Krishna Murthy garu. It belongs to Ambani family. AGK is no more with Mudra. Above all, my article deals with organizations and not individuals because an organization outlasts an individual. But if I had remembered about him while writing this article, I would have surely mentioned his name as an honor to AGK who is a fine human-being with immense intellectuality. I am sorry about not remembering him. Similarly, I forgot about two Telugu companies, which have made Telugu people proud and they are HBL Power Systems and Amara Raja Batteries in automotive battery market segment. These two Telugu companies are fast eating into the coffers of Exide Batteries, the nation’s biggest player and giving it a run for its money. I am very proud of them for these two are located in Andhra Pradesh. I also forgot about Regency Ceramics, owned by a Telugu but run in Yanam, a union territory. It is one of the national players in tiles business. I also forgot about two more national players. One, VIP Luggage and VIP innerware owned by a Telugu but located in Maharastra. Another is DRS Logistics owned by Aggarwals residing at Hyderabad. RESPONSE TO MUSUGU DONGA garu, I appreciate your patience in collecting the English words I used. Certain words that you referred, I could have used Telugu words instead of English ones. I am sorry for not making an effort in that direction due to linguistic laziness. With respect to other words, unless majority of Telugu people know the Telugu-equivalents of words such as BPO (if at all they exist), it is of no use if I alone use it. With regards to my mustache, I don’t think there is any thing Un-Telugu in it. Further, I feel it is too juvenile to argue on this issue while sidetracking the crux of the message. RESPONSE to BULLIBASU garu, Even if Telugu people are speaking proper Telugu, still the facts (that I mentioned in my article) will remain the same. Further, proper Telugu is not the most important thing but proper mind and heart definitely are. RESPONSE to SIGALO MALLI garu, Ask your heart if you are using 100% Telugu in your life. If you are using even one English word in your Telugu, then morally you are not entitled to comment on my language. It is hypocrisy what brings a system into crisis, not language or any other superficial thing.
