Articles: Life in AP | Where the problem is | |
| I totally agree that many children born and brought up in Andhra do not have proper culture inculcated in them. They are brought up with false status consciousness and they see their mothers ill-treating their mother-in-law or some old people in the house, and they cultivate the same habit outside too. I have also seen parents feeling great when their two year old kids raise their hands to slap any elder person who goes near them with love, if they are new to them. Though I was also born in AP as an elderly person our days were different. Now the generation is changed and parents are taking pride in their achievements of academic pursuit and are totally neglecting their children's character. Youth are becoming arrogant and talk anything derogatory against elders. No Namaste or greeting elders like in North children always greet with Namaste and atleast behave humble. That is very much missing these days in our Telugu kids. It is time for parents to rethink about their brought up. False prestige and ego are playing greater role in children of today. Parents are breeding this culture in them and ultimately they only will have to suffer for the consequences.

Yes, you are 100% right, Particularly if see in Tamilnadu they respect elders and women very nicely. Even in bus when lady or old people comes they offer the seat but In AP youth are really rude.
