Shankara Jayanti - Adi Sankara's Mayapanchakam

Dear friends

The festival of AdiSankara Jayanthi falls on 09th May this year. Please attend wherever celebrated and know your glorious heritage.

In his brief life span of 32 years, Sankaracharya laid strong foundations of our 'Advaita Vedanta'.

Human values are better understood through metaphors and analogies. AdiSankara's 'Mayapanchakam' abounds in such figurative expressions.

The whole world is suffering due to 'delusion' or 'maya'. Man's sorrow and unhappiness is due to maya only. Adisankara's 'Maya Panchakam' is short and highly vedanta oriented. Its study and understanding is an aid to overcome 'maya' which inturn will lead to realisation of self and attain ultimate peace and bliss.

As a part of our celebration of Sankara Jayanti, you may listen Sankara's maya panchakam at http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=8fl5zygXfGg.

Jaya Jaya shankara Hara Hara Shankara

with best wishes
