Namaskaaram andee,
The TLCA Grand Deepaavali Vedukalu are less than two weeks away, and we wanted to update everyone on some of the details of this event. First of all (as you might already know), TLCA has decided to make the event FREE for everyone. That's right, a delicious dinner and an extraordinary one of a kind entertainment program, brought to you for your full enjoyment, completely free. Please be sure to come and experience the Deepaavali Vedukalu.
We do have a favor to ask of you. We are expecting an overwhelming response, and we would like to be prepared. We would greatly appreciate it if you could RSVP us at http://www.tlca.com/rsvp, indication the number of guests you would be coming with. Please help us plan the event so that everything goes smoothly on the big day! Volunteers are urgently required. We need help with stage preparation, dinner, hospitality and other areas. Please call Anju Kondabolu (631) 462-1535 or email her at president@tlca.com to volunteer.
This program is different from the normal programs we have witnessed before in the Tristate area. About 40 artistes from Silicon Andhra will be travelling all the way from California to present, for our pleasure, a variety of traditional Telugu art forms: folk dances, folk songs, jadakolatam, tolubommalaatalu, comedy skits, padyanaatikalu, plays etc., Interspersed in this program will be dances by the kids from the area, depicting the various festivals. All these will be accompanied by the beautiful backdrops and special effects that Silicon Andhra is famous for. A few details of some of the items that the Silicon Andhra artistes will be bringing us!
We hope this has stimulated your appetite .. please do come and enjoy the sumptuous dinner and the fantastic show! Please note that the dinner starts early at 4:00 pm and finishes at 5:45 pm. Due to time constraints, we cannot extend the dinner time. The main program will start at 6:00 pm SHARP. Please forward this email to as many Telugu families as possible. Please RSVP us at http://www.tlca.com/rsvp and encourage your friends to do so as well.
See you all at the Deepaavali Program!
Sincerely,
President and Committee
Telugu Literary and Cultural Association
