The Congress party is gaining popularity in this region due to the various welfare programmes initiated by sri Dr.Rajasekhara reddy. Chiranjeevi has considerable popularity in this region and if people of this region seek some change politically then chranjeevi's party may get considerable seats. Rayalaseema will see some mixed results as INC and TDP both are popular in this region but INC has better chances of winning more seats when compared to TDP.
The Chiranjeevi's party may split some votes to the disadvantage of TDP and even to the INC as people may vote for chiranjeevi's party as he is new politically and may promise a better governance and above all ask people to give him a chance once. In the telangana region the TRS will get maximum seats as it has been promising and demanding a separate telangana state. TRS is still a force to reckon with in this region. Chiranjeevi's party is favouring a unified Andhra pradesh and hence may not get positive response from the people of this region. The TDP and INC may win some seats here and there in this region.
Hung and Glamorous 2009 Assembly :
No political party seems to get a majority in 2009 elections in Andhra Pradesh as analysed above region wise, to form a Government on its own. The Assembly could be a glamorous one as many film stars will either enter in to politics or may involve in campaigning. Already Balakrishna and Jr. NTR have accepted to camaign for TDP. Ms.Vijayasanthi has been touring actively in the telangana region and educating the people of this region about the importance of having a separate telangana state for economic and social development.
As already mentioned Dr. rajasekhar and his wife joined in INC recently. As usual super star Krishna said that he would work for the success of INC when he met the chief minister recently. Many other film stars are expected to reveal their affiliations to various political parties in the near future.
Thus we can expect a glamorous and a hung assembly for the first time in the history of andhra pradesh in 2009.
