So, where is the love and attachment gone? Don’t you realize that she is your elder sister who loves you a lot and does not even say anything when you are insulting her infront of your hi-fi wife? So, it is is really a pathetic and pitiable situation to have such siblings who don’t care and who does not respect their own blood when they get blinded by wealth and fame at one stage of life.
People also go to an extent of spreading rumours against their parents when they throw them away to Ashrams. This is the height of things when the same people claim that they are big devotees of so and so Guru or Baba. No religion or baba teaches us hatred and how can we justify ourselves when we can not take care of our parents who gave birth to us till their last moments.
Do we forget that when we are born they are the ones who taught us to walk by holding our hands and did every thing and sacrifice their lives for the good of children. Is it not because of their hard work today we are in a good position?
No, we think that it is all our greatness and effort and our intelligence (or crookedness) that we are owning a big palace and an expensive Car and luxurious life style where as your own Mother is dying in a pitiable situation in a dingy ashram. So, what to talk of relations and the value system.
If elders have these kind of class differences, what about their children who are future generation. They will also definitely become more self-centered and do not care or give a damn to any relations. They will have their own way and a day will come when we realize that 'As we sow – So we Reap'. But it will be too late to undo what we have done already.
These days what we see is due to technological changes, people have internet and skype and they use it for maligning other families or talking against each other or doing wrong things. No one wishes good to others when the question of competition and jealousy comes. If we accept things as they are and if we concentrate on our life and try to help others, sometimes it also turns out to be bad.
There are others who put their own strategies to create rifts in the family and their aim is to see that those two families should not prosper by being together. So, they try to malign their minds. One’s loss is Other’s gain here. It is game being played by own people sometimes.
So, sometimes, we see reason in the western culture where they draw a line and keep some limits even to the closest people. It makes them aware that putting a question or interfering with other’s lives is not welcome any time.
One young girl who came for studies abroad with the help of her uncle who spent several thousands as fee ditched them suddenly as soon as she finished her studies and not only she moved out of the house without their knowledge but she also has guts to challenge them that she will not leave the country. She started maligning this family with others too. Her parents kept quite and are feeling proud that their daughter is successful in a foreign country. They forgot the financial and other support given by their brother and family to their daughter. We see lot many cases like this who initially take help and then turn their head away from their own relatives.
Another young boy and wife who are helped to come abroad for studies finished their studies and could not get a job and then went back to India and spread all wrong things about his sister and family who helped them to stay with them and study. Here, in foreign countries, no one gets maids to do the household jobs and both husband and wife have to struggle through the week in offices and then the week end goes with household jobs and other community programmes.
