KCR confident of winning 100 seats

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (INN): Caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of creating a divide among the people of Hyderabad.

Speaking after releasing the TRS Manifesto in a public meeting at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Sunday, KCR said that people from Seemandhra region have been living happily in Hyderabad since the days of undivided Andhra Pradesh. However, he alleged that by contesting on 13 seats in Telangana Assembly elections, TDP chief was trying to instill fear and regional differences among the people. He said similar fears were expressed by the Seemandhra people during statehood movement. However, he said everyone has been living peacefully under the TRS regime. Similar is the case of people hailing from other States. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was indulging in cheap politics of dividing people on regional lines.

Speaking about his achievements, KCR said TRS Government has completely changed the energy scenario by ensuring uninterrupted power supply in Hyderabad. He said generators have vanished from apartments and entire State is being supplied uninterrupted power. He said Telangana has emerged as a power surplus State with average power consumption being higher than the rest of the country.

The caretaker CM also claimed that drinking water crisis have been resolved in Hyderabad. He said city's outskirts were facing some shortages due to merger of 12 municipalities earlier. He said two reservoirs, one at Keshavpuram and another at Medchal were being constructed to store 20 TMC each. He said works on the construction of one reservoir have already begun.

KCR said that the TRS Government would take measures to beautify Musi River. He said so far 33 Basthi Dawakhanas have been established and their numbers will increase to 500 soon. He said 1 lakh double bed rooms were being constructed at 109 different locations. He said nearly Rs. 15,000 Crore to Rs. 20,000 Crore were required to improve the drainage system in Hyderabad and this would be done soon. He said 1.85 lakh houses were regularised under GO 58 & 59.

He said several other development programmes were taken up and the victory of TRS party in next elections was essential to complete them. He alleged that the Congress and its allies were spreading rumours against TRS. He said even fake surveys could be floated predicting TRS defeat in next elections in the next two-three days. Therefore, he said people should be cautious from rumours and fake surveys.

KCR claimed that the TRS would win at least 100 seats in next Assembly elections to be held on December 7.
