TANA Woman Empowerment Building Kurnool: For the first time in the 40 year history, Telugu Association of North America (TANA) has built a permanent building for Woman empowerment and created an asset in India. The TANA Sthree Sakthi building was inaugurated by Minister KE Krishna Murthy as part of TANA Chaitanya Sravanthi.
The building is built at Kappatralla, once suffered a lot with factionism and mass killings in Kurnool district. The current TANA Treasurer Ravi Potluri took the leadership in creating the permanent structure so that women from the village and surrounding areas will get training in various trades for livelihood.
It was ex SP of Kurnool Ravi Krishna who started focusing on Kappatralla village and initiated the development. He was invited as the Chief Guest for the inauguration of the building.
TANA President Elect Satish Vemana, TANA Womens Wing Head Lakshmi Devineni, TANA India Coordinator Prasad Garapati, Singer Sunita, Mimicry Artist Ramesh attended the event. Industrialist and MP TG Venkatesh hosted the TANA Team at his house.
