Alleged Maoists kill suspected informer Visakhapatnam, Nov 15 (INN): Suspecting that he was a police informer, alleged Maoists late on Sunday night murdered a ward member and man-handled another for not working for welfare of people at Kudumsare village, Chinthapally mandal in Visakhapatnam district. According to Inspector Thatha Rao, P Chinaiah (45) was rendering his services as a ward member and a resident of Kudumsare village. On Sunday late night, some unidentified person knocked the door of his residence and called out Chinaiah. Since they called him by his name, Chinaiah ventured out of his residence.
Chinaiah was then forcibly taken to the outskirts of village by the alleged Maoists where he was killed with the help of an axe and knives. He was also hit on the back of the head with a sharp weapon. Chinaiah died on the spot. Meanwhile, another villager Muvvala Bhaskar Rao was beaten up by Maoists after he allegedly failed to properly carry out the various schemes introduced by the government for the welfare of the people. Bhaskar Rao was warned to do his job more efficiently after being beaten up.
