TTD to close ghat road for repairs Tirupati, Feb 3 (INN): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's Administrative Board on Thursday decided to close the second Ghat road from February 11 to take up repair works. According to reports, the TTD Board has decided to close the road to complete all pending repair works on the stretch. However, the Board said the repair works would be carried out without causing inconvenience to the devotees.
The Board has decided to complete the repair works before March 30 as the temple witness a huge rush of devotees during the summer season. The officials said the traffic, which would be disrupted on the road during the repair works, would be temporarily diverted through the link road to the first Ghat road.
The officials said they have made all alternative arrangements before closing the road. Till the completion of repair works, the traffic will be allowed to run on first Ghat road. The TTD deployed security and vigilance personnel along with engineering officials to regulate vehicular traffic, they said.
