Three die as lorry rams into auto Vizianagaram, Feb 3 (INN): Three persons were killed on the spot and three others sustained injuries when a lorry rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Alamanda village in Jami Mandal in Vizianagaram district on the wee hours of Thursday. According to Sub-Inspecter U Thamma Rao attached to Jami police station, the victims have been identified as C Gowri Naidu (24) and C Paidi Raju (22). Both these victims hail from Godukommam village in Jami mandal.
The other victim has been identified as M Ramana (30). The bodies of victims were shifted to Government Hospital in Vizianagaram. The police said the mishap took place when the lorry, coming from Vizianagaram collided head-on with auto-rickshaw coming from from Kothavalasa, the opposite direction. The impact left the three victims on board the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and injuring three others. The condition of injured is stated to be out of danger. Sub Inspector U Thamma Rao registered a case.
