Star Mahila enters 1,000th episode Hyderabad, Oct 30 (INN): In a rare achievement for any Telugu game show in recent past Star Mahila has entered into four figure mark and counting.
The Suma-anchored ladies programme will be 1,000-day old on Monday and a grand show is awaited to celebrate the event.
Star Mahila, beamed by ETV at 12.30 on five days a week has been a runaway hit and the diminutive anchor has been carrying the show roping in contestants from a cross section of people for over two years.
The 1000th episode has special features, which includes Suma's husband and actro Rajiv Kanakala and others. The show which changed timings twice is all about four women contestants chilling it out in five rounds and Suma carrying the show with here wit, repartee and expertise.
ETV also has popular programmes like Paaduta Teeyaga which is being on air since long but it is a weekly programme. Among the few daily game shows, Star Mahila has gained popularity and it has become the routine of women to make it a point to watch it in the noon.
Suma, who acted in a solitary movie Kalyanamasthu, married co-star Rajiv and since then settled as anchor. The Malayali, who has better command over Telugu than many anchors, has been a busy anchor and is seen in other game shows besides being a regular the audio launch of major films.
