Increase medical camps in flood-hit areas: CM Hyderabad, Sept 8 (INN): Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Wednesday asked the district Collectors and other officials to increase the medical camps in all the affected areas particularly where rains are heavy and consistent. Mr Rosaiah also asked the District Collectors and other officials to concentrate on repairs and restoration of breaches and also evacuation of people from low lying areas to safer places.
Chief Minister reviewed the latest situation following heavy rains in some of the districts with Ministers and officials at Secretariat. He also directed the Chief Secretary and other top officials to be in constant touch with the district Collectors regarding the measures to meet the situation whenever and wherever necessary.
Mr Rosaiah told the officials that since there are reports of breaches of minor tanks, it should be repaired immediately and be vigilant against further breaches. He wanted water to be drained out from the inundated areas. He asked the officials to direct all the line departments to coordinate and see that normalcy is restored in all the rain-affected areas.
Mr Rosaiah wanted the officials to ensure supply of safe and pure drinking water in all the areas.
