Paduta Teeyaga team rocks Wow Hyderabad: The young and energetic team of Padutaha Teeyaga finalists rocked the game show Wow, beamed on Friday night.
The four teenage finalists, who won wide applause and the blessings from all quarters in the music show hosted by singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, were on to a different dais though Wow belongs to the same channel and they breathed vibrant texture into the show.
The finalists of the singing show, Damini (Hyderabad), Nutana (Khammam), Kalahastri Sharatchandra (Tada) and Sai Ramya (Visahapatnam) came as a whiff of fresh air to the game show Woe, anchored by artiste Sai Kumar.
The popular show, aired by ETV every week, brings in celebrities, mostly from the Tollywood to participate and share their feelings or memories, whatever be the case.
In recent times, the show also featured members of a new release film unit which also doubled up as promotional activity of the film.
The four teenagers, who held the viewers spellbound with their vocal chords churning out hit numbers turned celebrities overnight, though this was not the first edition of Padutha Teeyaga, and were on the sets of Wow.
The four exuberant teenagers added pulsating fluency and juvenile nodes to the show and at one time turned it into Anthyakshari and anchor Sai Kumar encouraged them in their chosen field of singing at every given opportunity.
For their age and exposure, the four-some, three studying Intermediate and Nutana in tenth standard, did relatively well in the General Knowledge round though there were minor hiccups.
They seemed to enjoy the show and Sharatchandra, who is a fan of Michael Jackson, did jig or two with the co-host radiating high voltage energy.
Damini surprised by anchor when she reversed the roles with a question asking him to name the six popular families of Tollywood. Sai Kumar, being in the field for long, did give the answer.
The results were very different from the show which gained them popularity. Damini, who finished second in the singing show, emerged winner while Sai Ramya-the winner of Padutha Teeyaga slipped to the fourth place.
Nuthana and Sharat Chandra who were tied for the third spot in the earlier show finished second and third respectively.
The innocence of Sharatchandra and Sai Ramya, the diminutive yet determined expression of Nuthana and the expressive face of Damini added colour to the game show.
