Sreeram sings for Mahesh Babu
Hyderabad: Don't be too surprised if you find yourself humming to Aaj Kuch Toofani Karte Hain. The new Thumbs Up commercial by Sony Music, composed and sung by Ram Sampath has become a hit among people.
And, the Telugu remake of the song has been sung by Indian Idol 5 winner and a Hyderabadi, Sreeram Chandra. 'It was great fun working on the song and I really enjoyed working with Ram,' Sreeram exclaims.
The singer shares that this song needed a lot of ground work as it has a different feel and needed a different voice texture.
'The song has a very husky tone to it, which will provide the right feel to the video of the song. It should give that punch as the video is all about adventure,'' he explains.
The singer also believes that the background score carries great significance. 'Not just the video, but even the background score of any television commercial is of great importance. It reaches people eventually becomes hummable.'
Sreeram further says that singing for a commercial is not any different from singing for a movie. 'It's all about how you want the song to reach people. I had to modulate my voice a little for this commercial.'
He then quickly adds, 'I guess television commercials make a mark among people as they are played very often on television sets, radio and other forms of media which attracts a lot of attention.'
The singer is now busy with a Hindi reality show, Jo Jeeta Wahi Supertstar and is also waiting for the release of his upcoming Telugu movie, Jagadguru Adi Shankara.
