No need to stage `political dramas': MP Balram Naik Hyderabad, April 27 (INN): Mahabubabad MP P Balram Naik on Friday dismissed reports appeared in a section of media describing suspension of 8 Telangana Congress MPs from the parliament as `political drama' to get mileage on the issue.
Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, Balram Naik said that there was no need for the Congress leaders to stage `dramas' on the cause of separate statehood issue.
He said that the Congress leaders would intensify their agitation for the Telangana state by remaining in the party.
He made it clear that the Congress leaders would attend parliament on Tuesday and continue their dharnas for the statehood.
'There is no question of withdrawing agitation and continue our fight till the Centre announces a decision on the Telangana state,' he stated.
Before attending the parliament on Tuesday, he said the MPs from the region meet on Sunday to chalk out future course of action to be adopted for the statehood.
He said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy informed him that the government has issued tenders for the construction of Munneru Reservoir at Ellendu in Khammam district.
Stating that the reservoir constructed with a cost of Rs 200 crore, he said that the project would provide irrigation facility to 5,000 farmers in the district.
