VT Seva annual cultural event 'Vasantham' held in NJ
Somerset, NJ: VT Seva (Volunteering Together for Service) has organized its annual event during the Spring - Vasantham (a fun filled evening with dance, music and food) on Saturday, April 28 at Ukranian Cultural Center, Somerset, NJ.
The program was a grand success with support from local NJ community and overwhelming response from audience. The event started with national anthem followed by lightening ceremony by distinguished chief guests Dr Sudhir Parikh and Mr Dinesh Khosla and other VT SEVA board members.
Energetic youngsters from the best dance schools and accomplished singers from local community took part in this event to enthrall an audience of around 1200 people.
The program was a reflection of 'Unity in Diversity' with songs and dances from Telugu, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi and Tamil ranging from folk, classical and modern with the theme of Vasantham (Spring of Joy & Hope).
The funds raised during this event will go to to three tribal schools, a junior and degree college for visually challenged children in Andhra Pradesh.
VT Seva is a not for profit organization established in 1992 in India and in 2008 in USA by HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji with the mission to empower youth with values of humanity and spirit of volunteerism.
VT Seva reaches out to underprivileged people around the world, especially in India promoting wellness, free education for blind & tribal children and environmental awareness programs.
Highlight of the program was the participation of the youth and young volunteers showing their professionalism were limelight of the event. VT Seva addresses the need to bring the youth and adults to one cause, one vision, one mission, and one organization by bridging the gap between youth and adult volunteers.

They are deprived of vision, yet their vision is fair and realistic'- these are the comments from our founder and CEO of VT Seva, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji about visually challenged children. Our goal is to support this noble mission and vision and change lives of these children.
Dr. Purnachander Sirikonda, President of VT Seva. Dr. Ravinder Thota, Vice President thanked one and all who attended Vasantham, the event led by VT Seva youth volunteers of New Jersey.
Many dignitaries and the local community leadership have taken part in this event. Mr. Upendra Chivukula, NJ Assembly Man and Deputy Speaker, Padma Sri Dr.Sudhir Parikh and Mr Dinesh Khosla, Key Note Speaker and Law Professor, Mrs Priti Bhargava and Mr Anand Paluri, from TFAS, Mr Damu Gedela, Mr Bangar Reddy and Mr Sharma Allakki, from JET USA are few of the accomplished dignitaries who graced the event.
