PCC takes by-poll campaign to next level Hyderabad, May 16 (INN): Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Wednesday informed that the constituency level committees have been formed with local leaders in all the poll-bound constituencies to popularize the government's welfare schemes and programmes.
Interacting with media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, the PCC chief said that constituency committees would take the government's programmes to the doorsteps of people and seek votes based on the performance of government.
He said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and he himself would participate in the election campaign on Thursday at Allagadda assembly constituency.
Botsa said that Congress observer Vayalar Ravi and Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi would also participate in the campaign. Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha will also campaign in the by-elections from June 2-10.
Responding to some leaders stating that Congress leadership has not invited them for the campaign, he said that all loyal leaders have to campaign for party.
'There is no need to send invitation to the leaders to campaign for the party. It is their responsibility to work for the victory of party candidates,' he said.
Responding to speculation that the CBI might arrest YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said that the law would take its own course and Jagan's arrest would not lead to any law and order problem in the State.
