Both Houses to miss Leaders of Opposition Hyderabad: What could be called as a rare coincidence, the Leaders of Opposition in both Assembly and Legislative Council would not be attending the ongoing second phase of Budget Session.
While the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu left for USA on a private visit, Legislative Council opposition leader Y Ramakrishnudu was injured when he went to visit Durgamma temple at Permallayapalem of Tondangi mandal in East Godavari district.
He slipped on the steps of the temple and injured his leg three days ago. He was rushed to the hospital nearby, where he was advised to take bed rest for at least two weeks.
Ramakrishnudu, who was elected as MLC and nominated as opposition leader in the Council in the place of Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, was to attend the first session, on June 17, after administering oath as the member of the Council recently. However, his close aides said that Ramakrishnudu would attend the Session as he was recuperating very fast.
