Raging Buffalo kills one, shot dead KHAMMAM: A raging buffalo killed a farmer and injured three others in the Nagaram village of Khammam district before being shot dead by the police. Jalagam Ranga Rao (55), saw a buffalo damaging his mango fields and drove him out with the help of other farmers.
However, when Rao was starting his motorcycle to leave for home, the buffalo attacked him from behind piercing horns into him resulting in his on spot death. The buffalo further injured three other farmers, who later informed the incident to the police.
Palvancha rural sub-inspector, P Mallaiah, rushed to the spot but failed to control it. The SI informed about the condition to higher officials and obtained permission to kill the animal. The buffalo was shot dead later.
