TDP leader Anitha hits out at Ganta Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam Mahila leader Anitha Sakuru alleged that Minister for Ports and Investments Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who feared to attend a public debate on the IT development front, has managed to influence some of his followers to counter her earlier demands.
Taking strong exception to the 'derogatory' remarks made by City Mahila Congress president Pedada Ramani Kumari and some other IT association leaders against her, Ms Anitha Sakuru alleged that during the formation of IT SEZ, it was promised to provide 25,000 jobs to the educated but even 5,000 people were not provided employment till date.
'Without giving a direct reply to my questions to the Minister, is it correct to depute lower rung leaders to answer? I demand a direct reply from the Minister himself,' she fumed.
The TD leader further questioned as to who was responsible for the non-grounding of 'incubation centre' promised by the IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah some six months ago.
The irate woman leader questioned if it is genuine to grab the entire site meant for the District Library and who was behind the privatisation of Ore Handling Complex in the Visakhapatnam Port Trust besides handing over all costly sites at throwaway prices to private parties on BoT system.
For all these queries, Mr Ganta shall have to answer to the general public, Ms Anitha said. She also found fault with the lower rung and IT association leaders who questioned her status to question a Minister and asked the Minister to come for an open public debate on all the points raised by her.
