Prathighatana disappoints Charmi Charmi has carved a niche for herself working in women-centric films. Her earlier films such as Anukokunda Oka Roju, Mantra and Mangala were highly successful at the box-office and earned her accolades for her spirited performance. Charmi's latest release Prathighatana hit the screens on Friday.
The actress expected that the film will revive her fortunes and put her back on the success track. But, much to her disappointment, the film went onto become a colossal flop and the film's dismal performance at the box-office has disappointed the actress. Directed by Thammareddy Bharadwaja, Prathighatana is based on real life incidents especially focused on highlighting the atrocities on women.
Although Charmi aggressively promoted the film on various platforms, the film didn't grab the attention of the audience. Contrary to her expectations, the film didn't appeal to female audience as well. Meanwhile, Charmi has started working on her new film Mantra 2 which is a sequel of super hit Mantra.
