Occupancy Certificate mandatory to get water, power supply Hyderabad, July 4 (INN): GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said that here after occupancy certificate will be a mandatory without that the applicants cannot get the permission of electricity as well as water connection.
In this context the GHMC is planning to improve the existing system so that every person who is applying for the building permission must also obtain the occupancy certificate.
Most of the people are not applying for occupancy certificates because they do not have the necessity. Keeping in view of the above facts the GHMC is making the occupancy certificate is mandatory.
The Commissioner said that the idea is that everybody should come forward to obtain occupancy certificate. In the last four and half years 50,424 applications were received seeking building permissions.
With regard to the Gurukul Trust Land, the Commissioner informed that a consolidated report is being prepared on the status of different properties.
