Wonder how Rana lost Rs. 100 crore due to Mahesh Babu. Rana himself reveals how it happened and when. Daggubati Rana recently in an interview with a famous Tamil channel gave some straight and frank answers. Before his entry into films he thought of making some films as producer.
He wanted to make Surya starrer Ghajini film in Telugu much before it actually happened in Tamil. Rana was very much impressed with the original 'Momentum' movie and got ready to produce it with Venkatesh in the lead. Venky dropped it as he will not be able to build a body at this age.
Later Rana approached Mahesh Babu and shared his idea of making it In Telugu. However, Mahesh Babu didn't showed any interest in the project as he thought that the film wouldn't work in Telugu.
Later Ghajini was dubbed in Telugu and went on to path breaking film and turned as a huge hit. Same producer Allu Arvind remade the film in Hindi and made crores of rupees. Rana says that he would have made all that money if Mahesh agreed at that time for his proposal to do the remake. 'I lost 100 crore because of you' is what Rana tells to Mahesh whenever he meets him.
When the interviewer asked Rana about What is your relation with Trisha?
Rana said ''I have known Trisha for the last 13 years and Trisha is among very few friends who become my soul mates. Our relationship is very special.'
