Seegra Darshan ticket sale gets good response TIRUMALA : The TTD management, which released the `300 Seegra Darshan tickets through internet and the nine TTD e-darshan counters, a day after making an announcement to this effect, got good response from the pilgrims, where they booked 375 tickets in an hour after the release of tickets at 9 am on Wednesday.
Immediately after the release of 5,000 tickets 2,500 each through online and e-darshan counters on trial basis, pilgrims from various parts of the country booked tickets to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara on August 27.
With an overwhelming response from the pilgrims, the TTD EO Gopal and Joint EO (Tirumala) KS Srinivasa Raju exuded hope over continuing the same process over the sale of tickets through the new systems.
The officers along with the district collector Siddarth Jain, Tirupati urban SP Gopinath Jetty and several other officials inspected the arrangements in the `300 Seeghra darshan queue lines and other new constructions for checking, scanning and entry point for the new scheme.
Ongoing works for the purpose at TBC and ATC areas including the entry point of the Queue complex are inspected and executive officer was explained about the new system and how it works and the management of the ticket holders i.e pilgrims.
Chittoor SP and TTD in-charge CVSO Srinivasulu explained about security measures to be taken in the temple to the officials.
Chinnamgari Ramana, temple deputy EO, Additional CVSO Sivakumar Reddy, Superintendent engineer Ramesh Reddy explained about the progress of the work and new changes in the `300 queue line.
Speaking on the occasion, Gopal said, 'After the success of trial run, we are planning to release another 5000 tickets and later 8,000 tickets in a phased manner.'
'All together 18,000 tickets per day will be released through online and TTD e-Darshan counters,' he added.
The pilgrims are requested to make use of the opportunity and to plan their darshan by getting tickets at their residences and to reach the shrine in the stipulated time.
