'Road Grid' in AP to link highways: Naidu HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that the State will have a new 'Road Grid' interlinking all important highways and also districts with the proposed new capital.
Reviewing various aspects of the subject with Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao and higher officials of transport department, he said development of roads and highways are vital for the overall development of the state. He directed the officials to prepare plans for converting the existing two-lane roads to four lanes and four-lane roads to six lanes.
Officials were asked to consider various factors including the vehicular traffic density, rainfall, surface conditions etc while preparing the proposals for construction of new roads and upgrading of the existing roads infrastructure. Stressing roads should be smooth without any kind of obstacles like potholes, he promised to lay CC roads to every village.
