Gaddar to launch 'Yatra' for Telangana development Hyderabad, Sept 20 (INN): Ballader Gaddar has announced that he would undertake a 'Yatra' for the development of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, at the State Secretariat here on Saturday, Gaddar said that the Telangana was the result of a long agitation and it appears that another agitation was required to ensure development of the new State.
He asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to explain his economic policies to assure the people that he was in a position to implement the promises that were made during elections. He said if the TRS Government implements even 25 per cent of promises, Telangana would become a developed State.
Gaddar also asked the government to hold resolve the naxalites issue. He said that the naxal issue was a socio-economic issue and should be resolved through negotiations on priority basis.
Earlier, Gaddar submitted a memorandum to Narsing Rao, the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, seeking increase of height of Haldi Vagu Dam and filling up the tank to extend water supply to his village in Nalgonda district.
