Kadiyam embarrasses Errabelli at ZP meeting HYDERABAD: Despite Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu's efforts to keep his flock together, exodus of leaders from the party to the ruling TRS in Telangana seems to be continuing unabatedly.
After former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao's switch-over to the pink party, the next turn is said to be that of Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
If Dayakar Rao's recent meeting with the Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had already given enough stuff for rumour mill over his future political moves, another incident that took place at Warangal on Monday further strengthened the argument that Rao is contemplating jumping onto the TRS bandwagon soon.
During the Warangal zilla parishad meeting on Monday, Dayakar Rao's one-time colleague in the TDP and TRS MP Kadiyam Srihari let the cat out of the bag.
When there was a heated argument between these two leaders over supply of fertilisers to the farmers, virtually embarrassing his arch-rival in Warangal district politics, Srihari questioned Dayakar Rao, saying, 'Is it not true that you had called me earlier and requested me not to come in the way of your plan to join the TRS?'
Taken aback by the sudden potshot by the TRS MP, Dayakar Rao tried to play down the issue, saying, 'This is not the forum for raising political issues.''
In an interesting development, Dayakar Rao's another colleague and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav called on the Telangana chief minister KCR at the latter's camp office here on Monday. This development assumes significance as it took place at a time when speculation is rife that Talasani is leaning towards joining the TRS.
The buzz in the political circles is that apart from Talasani, two other TDP MLAs from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area- Teegala Krishna Reddy (Maheshwaram) and G Sayanna (Secunderabad Cantonment)- are also thinking about shifting their political allegiance towards the pink party.
TRS leadership is said to be trying to woo these three MLAs to its side eyeing the ensuing GHMC polls. It is also making all-out attempts to induct some of these MLAs into the party on Dasara day.
