Stampede at GAV theatre, one killed As thousands of fans flocked to the theatre to get a glimpse of the film one of the fans named Chennayya was suffocated to death in a stampede at Emmiganuru in Kurnool dist. A few others who were injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The relatives of the deceased blamed the theater management for not taking precautionary measures even though they expected a heavy crowd on the eve of dussera. Tension movements prevailed at the theater as the relatives staged a dharna.

'My film got released today and Unfortunately, I came to know a fan in Yemmiganur of Kurnool district at Siva theatre lost his life at mass stampede. May his soul rest in peace and my deepest condolence to his family. I am declaring an ex-gratia of 2 lakhs to his family," says the actor.
The death of a fan has sent shock waves in the industry. Hundreds of fans were quick to get on to social networking platforms to blame the theater management.
