TRS government indulging in blame game, says Naidu VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the TRS government was unnecessarily blaming him for the power crisis in Telangana and said that the AP government had even offered 300 MW of power to Telangana.
Addressing farmers at a meeting after inaugurating the Farmers Empowerment Corporation at Gannavaram near Vijayawada on Tuesday, he said 'I have made it clear in the past that the bifurcation of the states would cause several problems. While AP will have deficit budget, Telangana will face electricity problems.'
The Chief Minister also said, 'While I have purchased power from other states at Rs 5 and Rs 6 per unit to ensure seven hours of power supply to agriculture and 24-hour supply for domestic and industrial consumers, what has the TRS government done in their five months rule in Telangana.'
He also said that power generation at the Srisalam project should be done only to meet the peak demand and added that the generating the power would hit the Rayalamseema people badly as they would not get drinking water supply.
'But the TS government is unnecessary blaming us and setting the TDP offices ablaze and even purchasing our MLAs to weaken the party in Telangana,' he alleged.
