VSP donates Rs 5 Cr for cyclone relief Visakhapatnam, Oct 23 (INN): The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) on Thursday donated Rs 5 crore for relief and rehabilitation works in cyclone-hit areas of north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Rashtriya Ispat Nagam Limited (RINL) Managing Director P Madhusudan presented the cheque for Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) through union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
It may be mentioned that the the VSP's operations were badly hit due to cyclone Hudhud leading to losses to the tune of about Rs 250 crore. The VSP is likely to resume operations by this month-end.
