Cooperative Societies are more helpful to farmers Ongole, November 19. The district farmers will get more services through cooperative societies and they are more helpful to the farmers said Chairman of PDCCB Edara Mohan here.
On the occassion of the cooperative week celebrations an awareness program to the farmers organised in Karavadi PACN office.
Speaking as a chief guest he said that in Andhra Pradesh a total of 2033 cooperative societies are there. In that 1269 societies are running with profit.
PDCCB arranging loans to farmers in short term and long term basis. Pestisides, fertilizers are selling through cooperative societies and also providing Gold loans and locker facilities too. The farmers must utilize the village cooperative societies said Edara Mohan Babu.
Tobacco production cooperative society chairman Marella Venkara Seshaiah, Super Bazar MD Narra Surendra Babu, Karavadi PACN chairman Polavarapu Venkataramaiah, society supervisor Subrahmanyam and farmers from this mandal are participated in this program.
