TDP asks KCR to change his son's name Hyderabad, November 21: Changing the name of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport's domestic terminal in Shamshabad after NTR's name created a ruckus in Assembly today. Rejecting the proposal sent by Ministry of Union Aviation, KCR moved a resolution and all the parties expect TDP and BJP backed the resolution.
Now, TDP leaders from Andhra Pradesh started blaming Telangana chief minister. TDP minister Achenna Naidu on Friday lambasted Telangana CM KCR for opposing the move to renaming the Shamsabad airport domestic terminal after late NTR.
He questioned Chandrasekhar Rao as to what right he has to remove the name of NTR and asked why he named his son after the TDP founder's name. He dared him to change his son and minister K Taraka Rama Rao's name first.
Naidu added that KCR have no respect on NTR who gave him a political life. Acchem Naidu asked him, when there are no objections for naming the International terminal after late Rajiv Gandhi, who was not a telugu person what is wrong in naming after NTR who served as CM for united state.
"If he does not like NTR's name, he should first change the name of his son, KTR. NTR gave you a political break and life. Does Rajiv Gandhi belongs to Telangana state or Is he a Telugu person? It is unfair to change NTR's name while the Telugu people all over the world are respecting him " the TDP leader advised KCR.
On the other hand, the Telangana TDP leaders are bracing up to stage a dharna at the NTR ghat on Saturday to protest against the TRS government's resolution. The international one was named after Rajiv Gandhi and the domestic one after NTR. After Begumpet airport was closed for commercial traffic and Shamshabad is opened; only Rajiv Gandhi's name was given to both the terminals.
