SC, ST beneficiaries seek release of subsidy loan Ongole, November 21. Kula Vivaksha Porata Sangham (KVPS) staged a dharna in front of the collectorate here on Thursday, demanding that the government release subsidy loans to SC and ST beneficiaries for the year 2014-15.
KVPS State president A. Raghavulu led the dharna. KVPS state secretary A. Malyadri said SC and ST corporations in the 13 districts not sanctioned subsidy loans to the eligible 27028 members. In prakasam district as many as 756 SCs and 486 STs were yet to get the subsidy amount.
Dalit Mahasabha and Mala Mahanadu also joined the dharna seeking withdrawal of G.O. 101. They alleged that the state government not interested in implementation of welfare schemes to the weaker sections.
Dalit Mahasabha state president said that no age limit should be fixed to the advancing loans to the SCs and STs. The government should implement the G.O 58 immediately said Dalit Organisations United Front president Ch. Vengala Rao.
