Kuchipudi Suma Maala raises funds for Vizag Nritya Madhavi School of dance successfully organized Kuchipudi Suma Maala -5, an Odyssey of Cultural entanglement, and artistic pursuit. Every year, it marks the annual day of the school, but this year has a co-memorable significance to it.
Nritya Madhavi School of Dance, supported by National Organizations such as NATS(North America Telugu Society) and Local Organizations like TFAS(Telugu Fine Arts Society), Help Foundation and We care charity, has dedicated this year's Kuchipudi Suma Maala to the Hudhud relief fundraiser for rebuilding the City of Visakhapatnam.
High Quality Organics (HQO), a Reno-based multi-national Corporation, that supplies Organic ingredients to retail chains in the USA, has partnered with Nritya Madhavi, as a sponsor to the event. CEO and Managing director of the Nritya Madhavi School, Mr. Venu Yeluri spoke about the value of giving to the community, and he stressed on how the Nritya Madhavi group is dedicated to inculcating such good values in young minds.
Nritya Madhavi's artistic director and founder, Guru. Smt. Divya Yeluri has once again hosted a 'Kuchipudi Dance Extravaganza'. Over 100 students from Nritya Madhavi, learning and practicing the Divine art form of Kuchipudi, performed 17 Kuchipudi dance items, creating a magical journey into the mythological stories, uplifting the Indian Classical arts and culture.
The highlight of the program was the Rukmini Pravesam by Aasha Yeluri from the dance drama 'Kalyana Rukmini'.
Public Utility Commissioner Upendra Chivukula, Murali Medicherla representing NATS, Padma Boligala Raju representing HQO, Sankar Rao Polepalli representing Help Foundation, .Raghu Sankaramanchi representing Sai Datta Peetham, NJ, Srini Gandi representing TFAS, NJ were some of the guests and they spoke about the noble cause behind the event and extended their support to Nritya Madhavi.
Nritya Madhavi School awarded BharataNatyam Artist "Akhilandeshwari Vasudeva Murthy' with the Nritya Keerthi title, and recognized the Krishna Vrundavan temple trustees with 'Nritya Kala Poshaka' title. All sponsors, donors and supporters were recognized by Nritya Madhavi executives.
Nritya Madhavi volunteers Vadan Kopalle and Sailaja Kopalle prepared a presentation on the city of Vizag, and other Volunteers like Saroja Ponnam, Madhav Kodati, Mr. and Mrs. Konala, Shirisha Pogaku, Gayatri Mahidhara, Roja Venkat, Padmaja Putta and many others came together and made it a true celebration to provide their support for a good cause.
On the whole, Kuchipudi Suma Maala-5 was a grand celebration of Kuchipudi dance with a noble cause of giving attached to the event. 100 percent of the funds collected on this occasion will be donated towards rebuilding Vizag.
