Sultan Bazar traders are OK with Metro Rail: Cong Hyderabad, Dec 20 (INN): Congress Legislature Party deputy leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday claimed that the businessmen of Sultan Bazar never demanded change in the alignment of Metro Rail project.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Vikramarka claimed that he possess a letter given by businessman of Sultan Bazar stating that their business interest would not be hurt with the original design of Metro Rail project.
However, he said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been presurring the HMR authorities to change the alignment at Sultan Bazar for some hidden reasons.
He demanded KCR to explain the real reasons behind his insistence on change in Metro Rail alignments at different places. He said expect for increasing the project cost by nearly Rs 3,000 crore, the change in alignment would serve no other purpose.
Vikramarka threatened that the Congress party would launch a massive agitation if any changes are made in the metro rail alignment.
