Tolichowki flyover to be opened soon Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said that Road Over Bridge i.e., Tolichowki flyover is completed in all respects and would be opened for public shortly. He said he would invite Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to inaugurate the flyover.
Somesh Kumar, along with senior officials of GHMC inspected the Towlichowki flyover on Saturday morning. He said that the total project cost of the flyover is Rs. 38.41 crore. It consists of two flyovers - one from Mehdipatnam to Hi-tech City and second from Hi-tech City to Mehdipatnam The construction of this flyover would provide hassle free travel for motorists on this route.
The GHMC has overcome several hurdles in taking up this flyover, he said adding that the construction of Grade Separator would ease the traffic congestion at Tolichowki junction and reduce travel time from Mehidipatnam to Gachibowli and Hi-tech City and vice-versa.
The Commissioner further stated that the Grade Separator from Tolichowki to Gachibowli would be develop as Express High Way. The the 770 meter Towlichowki flyover was taken up at a cost of Rs. 38.41 crores. This project was started on November 1, 2013, and it was a challenging project.
Central Zone Commissioner N Ravi Kiran, Chief City Planner S Devender Reddy, Superintending Engineer Sridhar and senior officials from Engineering, Town planning have participated in the inspection.
