Ex-servicemen rally in Kurnool on March 8 Hyderabad: An ex-servicemen (ESM) rally will be conducted on 8th March at TG Lakshmi Venkatesha Kalyana Mandapam in Kurnool Town in Andhra Pradesh by Army Ordnance Corps Centre (AOC) under the aegis of Hq. Dakshin Bharat area in coordination with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Kurnool District.
Ex-servicemen, veer naris, war widows veterans of World War-II of Army, Navy and Air Force belonging to Kurnool, Anantpur, Prakasham, Mahboobnagar and Kadapa districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will participate in the rally. The opening ceremony of the ESM Rally will be graced by General Officer Commanding (GOC), Hq. Dakshin Bharat Area and distribute cash and gifts awards to ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, World War-II veterans on the occasion. Apart from prominent civilian dignitaries are also invited to the event.
Events will commence at 8.30 am on 8 March with the registration of the participants. A large number of stalls to facilitate and sort out their problems related to pension, re-employment, rehabilitation under the latest policies and guidelines are being planned. Medical and health facilities including free dental and eyes check up and women health issues will be carried out by nominated doctors of Military Hospitals and other empanelled hospitals in coordination with Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Secunderabad to help ex-servicemen and war widows and next of kin. A community lunch is also being arranged for guests and participants in the rally, according to an Army press release.
