Rs 13.47 Cr sanctioned for Pushkaralu works Hyderabad, April 1 (INN): The Telangana Government has accorded administrative sanction of Rs 13.47 crore for different works related to Godavari Pushakarulu to be celebrated in the month of July.
As many as 174 different works like providing drinking water facilities with permanent or temporary structures and sanitary toilet facilities would be executed in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Warangal, Karimnagar and Khammam districts. The State Government had constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee to work out the modalities and guidelines. The Cabinet Sub-Committee convened a meeting and directed the line departments to prepare an Action Plan in respect of their departments for meeting the expenditure from their own budget. Subsequently, the Engineer-in-Chief of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation worked out the proposals and submitted them to the government for approval.
While Rs 7.17 crore will be spent to provide drinking water supply through permanent structures, Rs 2.25 crore will be spent to supply water through temporary facilities. An amount of Rs 4.05 crore will be spent to provide sanitary toilet facilities.
